Criminal Hero is a Canadian rock project founded by Rick Harkness, born and raised in Toronto, shaped in Detroit, and now based in Vancouver.

The work is built as a cohesive body rather than a collection of tracks, with each release contributing to a broader progression. What began on the industrial edges of Detroit evolved into a tightly focused record defined by control, tension, and release. The debut run of singles unfolds as a loose emotional arc: ignition, defiance, fracture, and reconnection. Each release inhabits the same world, but the perspective shifts. The cohesion is intentional, developed in a single creative headspace rather than assembled over time.
